The Kingston Air Quality Initiative (KAQI), a pilot project launched in collaboration with the City of Kingston and the Kingston Conservation Advisory Council, focuses primarily on monitoring particulate matter 2.5 at the neighborhood scale in Kingston, New York. Since January 2020, a small network made up of high- and low-cost monitoring equipment has been deployed atop the Andy Murphy Neighborhood Center as well as on both the interior and exterior of a few private residences to monitor PM 2.5 long term.
