Building on the strengths of the Bard Center for the Study of Land, Air, and Water, CSC supports local science projects through its Community Science Lab. This core lab facility conducts environmental testing in response to community concerns. The data generated is used, along with measurements from field-based Climate Observatories, to evaluate community climate impacts and inform decision makers. This place-based approach allows CSC to capitalize on the diversity of climate change impacts experienced across the globe, and to build on partners’ individual strengths by pooling expertise and resources. Project partners to date include Bard College, American University of Central Asia, BRAC University, and Fulbright University Vietnam.
